Luton Hatters Korfball Club wants YOU!
We’re a brand new, friendly korfball club launched in 2008, catering for all types
of members: whether you are a sports enthusiast looking for a new
challenge; or whether you just want to meet new people and enjoy the social
side to the sport.
We’re currently looking for new players of all
standards. We don’t expect you to know anything about korfball
at your first session so please don’t be shy! Come
along to a training session and have a go!
We have started playing in the Milton Keynes League
with home and away matches against teams from Milton
Keynes, and won our first two matches!
Our training is also for the University of Bedfordshire’s
korfball team. If you’re a student and want to start playing for the
team, then there is minibus transport available from the Luton campus to
and from training, and we will also enter the team in tournaments –
the student korfball tournament circuit is great fun, involving playing short
matches all day followed by a party!

Korfball is a sport similar to basketball and netball
but with one major difference – men and women play
in the same team.
The game relies on co-operation and teamwork, with
the idea of the game to score in a basket 3.5m above the ground by passing
the ball between team members.
